Congrats Stephanie and Raul

Bethany and I photographed a beautiful wedding this weekend. The bride is the sister of Molly, who's wedding we photographed in December.
The ceremony was beautiful and very different than anything else because it was outdoors at night. Photographically, that is a nightmare but good thing I do a lot of night photography! The photos turned out great. Here's a few-

Website Update

Recently I updated my website with a new gallery. It had been way too long since the last update which was almost 2 years ago!
I'm working on changing out the old galleries as well, but that is going to take a while since I have about 60,000 photos from the past 2 years to edit through and choose from.

Anyway, check out the "new images" gallery on my website- click here

Salton Sea

My wife and I just returned from a little weekend trip to the Salton Sea, a really interesting lake in Southeast California. When we got there, it was dark and I couldn't believe my eyes... the lake appeared to be glowing! It turns out the lake has a very high salt content and it also has Phosphorus material in the water, which makes the water glow when it moves. It was super windy that night, so the waves on the lake were causing it to fully glow. So of course I took a lot of photos, and here they are.

And for you photographers out there, the first image above was a 17 minute exposure on the Canon 5d, with no noise! I was very surprised and excited about that! This is kinda funny too, I haven't bought a cable release yet so this is my ghetto release I made. A broken pencil with gaffers tape. Hey, it worked...

UpperCut Images

Today was a big day for my business because a collection of my stock images was posted with the stock agency UpperCut Images. You can view my images by visiting the website and searching "Blaine Franger" or just click on this link. I recommend setting it to 100 images per page, that way there is only 2 pages to load. Also, if you register to the site, you can view the images larger and without a watermark logo. It's quick, easy, and free.

If your reading this right now and happen to work for Getty Images or Corbis, I've got thousands more images that need a home! Contact me!
