Ray and Chelsea's Engagement!
Today Bethany and I got to photograph an engagement proposal, which was super cool because that's a first for us! Although I had never met Ray, I know Chelsea from the days back in Oregon. Congrats to both of you! Ray you did an awesome job man, keeping it a surprise is quite the task! And then afterwards Ray treated a big group of his family and friends to an awesome dinner! Thanks for inviting us along, it was a great time!
I'm so glad it went well, because I actually had a horrible nightmare last night about messing it up. In the nightmare I accidentally photographed the wrong couple and I totally missed the proposal! How bad would that be!? Haha. I remember feeling the same way the first wedding I shot too, and the first assignment I shot, and the first famous person I shot... haha. So I guess you have to do everything once to get all the jitters out!

I have a question though...how did Ray ask you to do the pictures if he didn't know you and it was a surprise? This is quite puzzling to me.
But hey, these pictures are very enjoyable to look at.
haha, lisa your always thinkin! i was totally wondering the same thing until we went to dinner. then ray explained:
chelsea showed him my website some time ago, and he said my name just kinda stuck in his head over time. so when it came time to call a photographer, he gave me a ring! :)
it's funny when he first called me, i thought he said chelsea was just a friend of his, and i was like, so whats your girlfriends name?? Uh, chelsea...
Then i got it. haha.
