The new Canon 5D!?
Canon has been taking FOREVER to update their 5D model... and just about every Canon shooter is getting super sick of it because as of right now Nikon has some better Pro/Midrange cameras out like the new D90 that shoots in HD video too (super cool).
But recently everyone is talking about this "Destined Evolution" teaser that Canon released on their website(s).
Check it out here- http://www.canon.com/moon/en/
Also here and here
What does this mean!? I personally think it's going to be the 2 years overdue replacement of the 5D and it's going to blow away everything Nikon has put on the market and will put on the market. Just my thoughts... :)
Whatever it is... can't wait to get my hands on it!

one can only hope!
The 5D MkII was ready last fall, I knew a guy who was field testing a prototype... but then the D3 came out and Canon had to go back to the drawing boards. This camera better be nothing short of spectacular.
Destined Evolution sounds like video to me.
Supposedly it will have 21 MP still FullFrame with HD video similar to D90.
I don't want hd video... just a camera with AWESOME noise and super quick and solid auto focus (and more than 100,000 frames for the shutter!!!!) (I go through one shutter a year on my MKII as it is!)
So... they just need to hurry up and release it already!
I hate to say it but I think Canon is going to be in the dust for a long time. The D3 is just that amazing. Seriously every time I shoot with it I am blown away with the speed of how it focuses and even more so the low light capabilities. I just had a 30 inch print of photo I took at iso 3200 and it looks amazing. I never worry again when shooting a ceremony in a dimly lit church. Not to mention that I also just got the d700 and it is equally as amazing. Also the D3 has a 300,000 frame shutter life. I hope for all of the canon users out there that they come up with something for you because competition is good for the two companies.
does the teaser site do anything other than show that sillhoette and the moon? i want to see more!
