The yellow wildflowers grow everywhere in the surrounding hills, they are called "Balsam Root"

Mt. Hood at sunset

Mt. Rainier in Washington

It was basically dark when I shot this one. 30 second exposure, beautiful light!

This is my blog, hope you enjoy! There isn't much I don't love photographing although my favorites tend to be nature, animals, landscapes, travel and people. I am lucky to call Hood River, Oregon home but definitely love to get out and travel! Stoked on life, hope you are too, it's a wonderful ride. Also do wedding & portrait photography! aawww...did you put all these on just for me??? Just kidding, thanks for sharing, though! :)
ReplyDeleteok, wait a second... 30sec exposure? how'd you get alomst no movement in the flowers... with Gorge Winds!? *cornfused*
ReplyDeleteNice ones. Makes me want to go back home. I love the last one.
ReplyDeleteAmancay-
ReplyDeleteI actually was hoping there would be more movement and blur in the flowers, but I guess it wasn't all that windy... strange because it's usually always super windy up there!
A wide angle reduces the amount of blur a bit too. The closer you are, the harder it gets to keep things sharp. I tried a few close ups and gave up quickly!
SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Someday Blaine, if you're really really lucky, you too might be able to charge people $700+ to hang out and ride along with you on your dirt bike and be enamored by your presence.... LOL...... plus dirt bikes beat having lunch in L.A. any day!!! ; )
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!I miss Oregon!
ReplyDeleteI will be in Portland over the
summer break, btw.
Why do a lot of your photos
have dark shades on every corner?
You might have told me about this
when I visited, but I forgot.
Something to with the editing?
I'm striving to take pictures
like yours! Need a lot more
practice and knowledge...
