moonrise and campfire, Alabama Hills, CA

One of my favorite places in all of America is the Alabama Hills in Owens Valley, California. When I get a chance to drive through there and camp its always an incredible experience.

This photo was taken 1 year and 5 days ago. The moon was rising above the hills and the light hadn't quite reached our camping spot yet. Bethany had already gone to sleep in the tent, but of course I was up at 3AM shooting.

I took this photo just to have a nice memory snapshot, but it actually turned out pretty well and didn't notice it until just now.
